To play along with the original, you'll need to play an E Chord. Some ukulele players avoid any song that use the E chord, but that's a shame because so many great songs use the E Chord! Instead - I would strong encourage you to learn how to play it. My preferred way to play the E is in this shape:

(It sounds particularly good on a uke with a Low G) - This song is a great opportunity to practice it.

Alternatively, you can also play the top 3 strings only and bar the 4th fret. In fact, this song in particular is so easy to play if you just play the top 3 strings and slide the bar on the 4th fret (E) with your 3rd finger, then bar the 2nd fret with your first finger (D).

PS: Sometimes, you can get away with playing an E7 instead of an E, but it really depends on the song (It doesn't work so well for this song).
